You asked… so we brought them back.

A mainstay on the folk scene for over a decade, Salt House’s blend of heartfelt vocal and instrumental interplay offer listeners cherished moments of reflection and connection.

A reputation solidified with acclaimed album releases and extensive touring Salt House are thoughtful and innovative interpreters of both old ballads and contemporary songs. New songs that sound like they’ve always been here, ancient ballads woken up. Poems given melodies they’ve long deserved.

With a sound influenced by the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, Northumberland and Shetland, the respective homes of band members Ewan MacPherson (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), Anna Hughes (vocals, fiddle, viola, tenor guitar) and Jenny Sturgeon (vocals, keys, guitar), their natural surroundings weave into the fabric of the music that speaks of a shared love of place, people, and evolving tradition.

Introducing… the best debut album of 2024?

Susy Wall is a songwriter whose work is starting to make waves. Her album, The Spaces In Between, has recently been recognised as one of the three Best Debut Albums in the UK in 2024 by Fatea

Growing up on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, Susy has always been in love with melody and song. Her songs are influenced by both classical and contemporary themes which translate into melodic, honest songs that tell the ordinary story, inspired by everyday moments that often go unnoticed.

Her acoustic performance style emphasises her vocals in a way similar to artists such as Eddi Reader & Joni Mitchell

Susy Wall - All You Need

“Susy Wall has a voice that is divine and that sends shivers…It’s like a direct line to the soul of the listener…. A remarkably gifted artist.”  Gordon Giltrap MBE
