The Leconfield Hall, £15

A rapidly rising star in the Scottish folk scene, Laura Jane Wilkie has a unique style rooted in Highland fiddle traditions folded in with influences from a wide range of genres.

Her debut solo project ‘Vent’, released by the iconic folk label Hudson Records, is centred around Waulking songs - ancient women’s work songs adapted for the fiddle, and demonstrates what a versatile, creative and adept artist she is.

Laura has toured across the world in various different groups and artists within the contemporary folk music scene, but Petworth Sessions will see Laura joined by guitarist and producer Ian Carr.
