David Grubb is a brilliant instrumental story teller from Fife, who loves to challenge conventional perceptions of genre, and create immersive sonic landscapes where every note tells a story.
For this concert, we will have a rare full band performance of violin, bass clarinet, guitar, keyboards, bass and drums to perform David’s upcoming release Circadia. This will explore the human subconscious through a typical sleep cycle and encountering weird and wonderful phenomena along the way.
True to his genre hopping credentials, David's musical endeavours extend to diverse projects, including his membership in the Welsh trash-trad ensemble and festival favourites NoGood Boyo, and his role as a founding member of the bluegrass sensations Taff Rapids.
and introducing Jess Oyo
Jess Oyo found her love of storytelling from long road trips as a child along the coastline, listening to folk/rock icons such as Stevie Nicks, Karine Polwart and Florence and the Machine.
Now at 24, she feels a creative connection with the sea, bringing a taste of dreamy vulnerability to her stories through marine metaphors and catchy melodies.
